POEM: SILENT STRUGGLES
Three ladies sit in silence,
With bandages wrapped so tight,
Each covering a part of them,
From the world's demanding sight.
One holds her hands over her eyes,
As if to block the light,
Or maybe she's trying to see within,
To find her own insight.
Another covers up her ears,
As if to shut out sound,
Perhaps to hear her inner voice,
And not the world around.
The third lady has her mouth bound,
A symbol of a voice that's lost,
Or maybe she's listening within,
To find what her soul has cost.
These bandages may hide their wounds,
Or maybe just a part of themselves,
But each one bears a story,
Of struggles, pains and selves.
So let us be kind and gentle,
As we walk this path called life,
For we never know the battles,
That others face in strife.
